2 Cents on Life

Hello everyone! I was just thinking about something, and I thought I would share it with you. I was thinking about myself. About what I do. About my friends. I am so thankful for what I have. I am fortunate enough to have a best friend who is there for me through EVERYTHING. I was able to get my hands on the opportunity to do what I love. So I guess instead of my 2 cents on life, I have a piece of advice, and one of those silent little thank you's to some people, along with a wish. I wish that everyone finds something they love, and they do it. And if you find you like something, don't be afraid to do it. I am being tested for the next week to see if I can join the next level of my baton twirling corp. And yesterday on my way   home from practice, I was so tired, overworked, and nervous, that I just cried. All the way from Zion to Kenosha. But I want this too much to give up now. I've spent the last 11 months of my life practicing my butt off to get this opportunity, and I'm not going to let it fall through the cracks. I am going to work my absolute hardest this next week to make sure that I can accomplish my goal. I hope that someone will come across this and find that working hard makes dreams come true. Finally, here's a thank you to all of my friends from corp that are cheering me on during practice. Here's a thank you to my best friend for putting up with my insaneness, my clumsiness, and for listening to me when I need you. If you were to read this best friend, I hope you know that I'm here for you too, but I think you know that ;)

I don't quite know why I thought of this when I did... probably because I just came home from my best friend's house from a sleepover, and that I went on pinterest and saw all of the things that I pin. Speaking of Pinterest.... Here's the link to my account... I mostly pin (repin?) DIY stuff, recipes, and random stuff that looks cool :) On that note, have a good Sunday everyone!

I'm Slacking

Why hello there fine people of Earth and Jupiter! No one reads this blog so I mean, it's not like any of you guys are human or anything :) On to the point. I've been (obviously) slacking in the world of blogging. Why? Because drama kicks in in 8th grade. I haven't posted since before my birthday, which was back in September. That's kind of sad. But oh well! I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be some DIY's coming up soon! I need ideas as to what to try though. I wanted to make a chandelier.... we shall see how that goes. And of course in time for the holidays, I will have some kick-butt Christmas cooking recipes too :) But until then, farewell until tomorrow afternoon!

My Favorite Recipes

Hey Guys!!! So I was on Pinterest about 10 minutes ago... it's storming like crazy outside so I can't be practicing. But I was looking through my Food and Drink board, and I found a few recipes from other pinners and bloggers that I thought I would share with you all. I really look forward to trying them in my free time this upcoming fall.

About Me

Hello all,

I thought I would just tell you a bit about myself and what I do. I am a twirler with the Razzle Dazzle Junior Twirling Corp, based out of Zion, IL. I am 12 years old and live in Wisconsin. And if it isn't obvious, my name is Sam Kirk. I'm sure I will lose out on a lot of readers because of my age, but I'm not some normal 12 year old. I have the vocabulary of a college student, and the grammar skills of an educated adult. In 3rd grade I was able to spell words of a college level. I'm not your average preteen, I'm the 12-going-on-30 preteen. I've decided to make this blog so I can connect with people of the same interests. I'd like to post recipes, DIY projects, twirling tutorials, and I also love answering questions. So thanks for reading my first EVER blog post, and I'd love to hear from you! And also, if you see a post without the proper credit, please let me know, as I really hate taking credit for other people's work. I'm serious guys.
